Hi, I’m Dawne!

Canadian Certified Counsellor

B.A., M.Div., M.A.C.P.

If you’ve explored our site, you probably sensed the importance we place on compassion. It’s that innate human quality that draws us toward one another, fostering connection and support. We all carry the weight of stress, anxiety, shame, or whatever life throws our way, and sometimes we need a guide to navigate those steep hills. If that resonates with you, I’d love to connect and share more about my counselling approach.

To give you a glimpse into my style, I blend compassion science with Emotion Focused Therapy, a proven method for navigating challenging emotions. I prioritize a relational, non-judgmental approach, rooted in both formal education and the wisdom gained from lived experience.

For couples or individuals seeking counselling, if you’re considering a transformative journey, let’s have a conversation! You can schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation, either virtually or in person, using the ‘Book with Dawne’ link below. Together, let’s tap into the power of human connection and compassion to help you rediscover your radiant and resilient self—one empowering step at a time!

Hello, I’m Kara!

Canadian Certified Counsellor

– in process –

B.S.F., B.Ed., M.C.

A heart that cares deeply for others sees a need and desires to help. It is my heart to help others in the areas that they struggle with emotionally, mentally, relationally, physically, and/or spiritually. With an empathetic,
person-centered, and strength-based therapeutic stance, I will provide a safe and secure environment where you can feel heard and understood. In collaboration with you, we will draw from your own experiences, emotions, understandings, values, and beliefs as we explore new ways to work through your concerns.

My trauma-informed and integrated approach includes aspects of Narrative Therapy, Emotionally-focused Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Attachment Theory. Upon request, I will use an integrative psychotherapy approach with Christian faith along with guidance from the Bible. When working with youth and parents, I also draw from my many years of experience working as an educator and Learning Support Teacher.

All people have a deep place of longing to be understood and find peace in their lives. I long to help people grow in confidence, endurance, and security, and to find peace and hope so they can thrive in their lives. As your counselling therapist, I will provide a safe place for you to share your story as I come alongside to help you find lasting change in your life.
